This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls to schedule, reschedule, or cancel patient appointments across various specialties.

• Collect and verify complete patient demographic and insurance information.

• Conduct basic real-time insurance eligibility checks and inform patients about copays, outstanding balances, referral requirements, and prior authorization needs.

• Adhere to provider-specific scheduling templates, visit-type regulations, and clinical guidelines.

• Make outbound reminder calls, follow up on missed appointments and no-shows, and oversee recall waitlists.

• Address patient inquiries, manage sensitive interactions with empathy, and escalate complex issues as necessary.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, patient privacy laws, and IKS/White-Wilson operational standards.

• Achieve or surpass performance metrics related to call handling time, scheduling accuracy, quality assurance, and attendance.


⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare contact center, medical scheduling, or patient access role.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, including Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance types, along with basic revenue cycle management concepts.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management (PM) scheduling software.

• Outstanding phone etiquette, active listening skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

• High level of accuracy in patient registration and insurance data entry.

• Capability to handle anxious or frustrated patients with composure and professionalism.

• Ability to navigate multiple software applications simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong self-management abilities in a remote, high-volume call center setting.
