This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the progression of SBA loans from application submission through to approval, processing, and closing.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the BDO, Underwriter, borrower, and SBA for collateral assessment and loan documentation.
• Manage the loan application pipeline and collaborate with the Lender Service Provider and Loan Operations to ensure timely closings and funding.
• Facilitate loan closings, handle due diligence, and proactively communicate with stakeholders.
• Keep up-to-date with changes to SBA SOP and assess loans for SBA eligibility.
• Ensure that loan files comply with SBA and bank standards and are submitted into ETRAN for approval.
• Foster relationships with borrowers and internal stakeholders, addressing questions, concerns, and issues in a timely manner.
• Complete compliance and IT training while adhering to bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Investigate suspicious activities and collaborate to mitigate fraud risks.
• 3–5 years of specialized experience within SBA lending.
• A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of SBA SOP.
• Capability to independently manage the packaging and closing processes in a high-volume setting.
• Ability to foresee and alleviate potential slowdowns while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and checklist skills.
• Confident, clear, and professional communication abilities.
• Understanding of financial products and services, along with relevant regulations and laws.
• Proficiency in interpreting financial statements and legal documents.
• Quick learner with the ability to utilize new tools and technology to enhance efficiencies.
• Availability to work during Eastern Standard Hours.
• Valid U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Must confirm non-smoking status or commit to cessation within 90 days of accepting the offer.
