SAP Transportation Management, SAP TM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive configuration and support for SAP TM Transit Warehousing as well as TM–EWM integration.

• Establish the mapping between SAP TM freight orders and SAP EWM delivery item types.

• Supervise outbound and inbound transportation execution processes, which include freight unit creation, planning, freight order creation, load plans, LDAP handling, and management of execution status.

• Configure and manage SAP Fiori Transportation Management applications.

• Administer target mappings, business catalogs, technical catalogs, and business role assignments.

• Oversee Advanced Shipping & Receiving processes, which involve truck check-in, warehouse coordination, multi-warehouse handling, and integration throughout TM, EWM, STRM, MM‑IM, and LE.

• Configure and support yard operations, Transportation Units, vehicle master data, arrival/departure points, and the representation of single-TU versus multi-TU.

• Set up the EWM Integration Profile and manage auto-instruction dispatch, loading/unloading guidance, and delta management.

• Document and manage limitations related to TM–EWM integration.

• Assist with delivery splits, batch handling, batch splits, delivery reallocations between EWM TUs, carrier determination, and processing of TM change requests.

• Provide guidance to stakeholders regarding the capability tiers of SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management.

• Facilitate transitions from LE‑TRA to S/4HANA TM.

• Ensure compliance with federal regulations, manage configuration, and oversee change-control practices.

• Diagnose TM Transit Warehousing issues, such as LDAP failures, freight order execution status errors, EWM TU cancellation problems, and delivery-based transportation requirement update failures.

• Adhere to SAP support case best practices for issue documentation, component selection, and landscape details.

⛳️ Requirements

• US Citizenship (required)

• Active Secret Clearance (required)

• Over 5 years of experience with SAP TM, including more than 3 years focused on SAP TM Transit Warehousing and TM–EWM integration.

• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition and SAP Fiori, particularly in TM Fiori app configuration.

• Strong expertise in configuring SAP TM Transit Warehousing, including freight order types, EWM document types, and item types.

• Proficient in TM–EWM integration, including LDAP processing, freight order execution, transportation unit management, and EWM Integration Profile configuration.

• Experience with SAP Fiori Transportation Management applications such as /SCMTMS/TREQ_ORDB and /SCMTMS/TREQ_DELB, along with business catalogs (SAP_TM_BC_LGINT) and business roles (SAP_BR_TRANSPORTATION_MANAGER).

• Advanced understanding of Shipping & Receiving processes and integration across TM, EWM, STRM, MM‑IM, and LE.

• Familiarity with SAP TM capability tiers and the behavior of the TM‑FWM component.

• Experience in supporting federal agencies, defense programs, or environments related to government contracting.

• Knowledge of SAP EWM Yard Management, TU configuration, and vehicle hierarchy setup.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, well-suited for client-facing roles in government programs.
