SAP PI/PO Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Deliver design and solutions for B2B and A2A interfaces within an SAP ISU framework tailored for North American clients and customized Vertex SAP services.

• Collaborate with clients and team members across North America to collect requirements.

• Create and implement integration solutions.

• Assess business requirements and autonomously construct interfaces between VertexOne’s SAP application and various business applications.

• Comprehend business requirements and offer designs, solutions, specifications, and development estimates.

• Develop new interfaces while analyzing, debugging, and resolving any issues.

• Generate and maintain technical specifications derived from functional and business requirements.

• Integrate SAP and non-SAP systems in A2A and B2B contexts.

• Supervise components, messages, caches, and end-to-end processes.

• Configure adapters and alerts, troubleshoot problems, and provide support for proxy runtime.

• Engage in hypercare support during the go-live phase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a Bachelor of Science with a Master’s in Computer Applications.

• Over 5 years of experience with SAP.

• Preferably have experience with SAP PI/PO versions 7.4–7.5.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Skilled in MS Visio, Word, Excel, and incident management tools.

• Conceptual knowledge of relational databases and middleware technologies.

• Basic understanding of SaaS and cloud computing.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Effective time management and planning skills.

• Expertise in SAP PO tools and technology.

• Experience in integrating SAP and non-SAP systems in A2A and B2B scenarios using XI/PI.

• Familiarity with both synchronous and asynchronous integration modes as well as REST, SFTP, JMS, SOAP, HTTP(S), Mail, and JDBC adapters.

• Knowledge of SAP ABAP/BAPI, RFC function modules, and ABAP Proxies.

• Experience with monitoring components, messages, caches, and end-to-end processes.

• Understanding of error handling and issue resolution.

• Experience with Adapter Framework, Adapter Configuration, Alert Configuration, cache monitoring, troubleshooting, and proxy runtime.

• Hands-on experience with Web Services utilizing the REST adapter.

• Knowledge of User-Defined Functions (UDF) creation and application.

• Understanding and practical experience with Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Rules Management (BRM).
