SAP IS-U / S/4HANA Utilities Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance and enhance SAP IS-U / S/4HANA Utilities systems.

• Manage market communication (MaKo) and metering processes (WiM).

• Evaluate, improve, and ensure stability in end-to-end processes, including supplier switching and metering point operator (MSB) operations.

• Execute and assist with regulatory compliance and format modifications, such as BDEW and IM4G.

• Conduct error analysis and resolution within the EDIFACT/EDI landscape, covering UTILMD, MSCONS, and INVOIC.

• Assist in and implement configuration (customizing) and ABAP (OO) programming.

• Integrate interfaces like IDocs, APIs, middleware, and SAP PI/PO.

• Participate in or lead initiatives concerning smart metering and S/4HANA transformation.

• Carry out testing and quality assurance procedures.

• Act as a liaison between business units and IT.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in an SAP IS-U or S/4HANA Utilities context.

• In-depth knowledge of the energy sector and market operations.

• Familiarity with MaKo, WiM, EDM, balancing, or metering point operator (MSB) procedures.

• Experience with EDIFACT, EDI protocols, and error management.

• Technical expertise in ABAP, interfaces, and SAP system architectures.

• A methodical, analytical, and solution-focused work approach.

• A proactive mindset and passion for tackling complex challenges.

• Strong communication abilities and a preference for teamwork.

• Capacity to work autonomously within a project-driven setting.
