SAP IS-U Authorization Management, System Decommissioning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Transform the IS-U authorization framework into a variant that is display-only.

• Implement roles and authorizations in a secure, transparent manner, ensuring compliance with audit standards as part of the decommissioning of the SAP IS-U network system.

• Collaborate with the designated project liaison from the customer’s side.

• Execute the decommissioning process of the SAP network system.

• Evaluate the current change authorizations to determine their necessity and develop strategies for transitioning to the desired future state.

• Convert composite roles and individual roles into display-only single roles.

• Apply naming conventions that closely resemble the existing structure to facilitate authorization role mapping (IKS).

• Maintain transparency regarding project activities while identifying dependencies and risks throughout the transformation process.

• Formulate an authorization strategy for SAP IS-U system decommissioning projects.

• Review existing role and authorization frameworks.

• Plan and establish reduced user and system-user authorizations as part of the shutdown, aligning them with display-only authorization roles.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory, data protection, and audit standards.

• Create and sustain documentation and authorization strategies.

• Address security-related concerns.

• Respond to the project liaison’s requests for corrections regarding authorization roles during the decommissioning phase.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.

• Multiple years of experience in SAP authorization management.

• Strong understanding of SAP IS-U; familiarity with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP Security is a plus.

• Background in migration, transformation, or decommissioning projects.

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, such as GDPR, SOX, IDW PS 330, KRITIS, or internal control systems.

• Proficiency in analyzing roles, profiles, and authorization objects.

• A structured, independent, and solution-focused work approach.
