SAP Funds Management, General Ledger

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design and implement Funds Management and General Ledger solutions to meet complex business needs.

• Offer strategic insights on new SAP technologies and develop tactical roadmaps.

• Configure and document SAP FM/GL functionalities and ensure their integration with FI/CO/AR/TM/SD/Assets and other SAP modules.

• Guarantee seamless integration between SAP systems and USTRANSCOM enterprise systems, including ERP and logistics applications.

• Record business requirements and generate comprehensive functional specifications.

• Create system configuration documents and ensure accurate system documentation is maintained.

• Assess scope and effort for maintenance and enhancement change requests.

• Engage in solution reviews and walkthroughs.

• Configure SAP FM/GL functionalities based on specified requirements.

• Test the functionality of the end product.

• Diagnose and resolve functional issues in collaboration with technical resources.

• Provide Tier II/Tier III support for incidents and system-related issues.

• Work closely with SAP team members to ensure task completion and project delivery.

• Take part in SAFe Agile ceremonies and team activities.

• Assist with SAP enhancements, upgrades, and new implementations.

• Develop training materials for end users.

• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions.

• Document procedures, processes, and system configurations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP implementation, enhancement, and O&M support is necessary.

• Extensive expertise in configuring SAP Funds Management (FM) and General Ledger (GL) is crucial.

• Capability to configure SAP financial modules while understanding cross-module integration points.

• Experience in documenting requirements, developing functional specifications, and creating system configuration documents is important.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams for troubleshooting and problem resolution.

• Strong communication skills are essential for solution presentations and stakeholder engagement.

• Preferred experience includes SAP S/4HANA implementation or support.

• Familiarity with the Department of Treasury's Government Invoicing (G-Invoicing) processes is preferred.

• Experience with SAFe Agile methodology is preferred.

• Usability (UX/UI) design experience is preferred.

• Data Analytics experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) or Tableau is preferred.

• Experience supporting Department of Defense or federal government financial systems is preferred.

• Knowledge of federal financial management regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.

• Up to 10% travel may be required.
