SAP Functional Consultant – Materials Management, MM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Set up and provide support for SAP S/4HANA MM processes, which encompass procurement, inventory management, valuation, material master, and purchasing.

• Convert customer needs into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications.

• Guarantee seamless integration across SAP SD, FI, CO, EWM, TM, and EAM modules.

• Participate in Fit-to-Standard workshops and design sessions.

• Develop Functional Design Documents, configuration documentation, test cases, user manuals, and training materials.

• Conduct unit, integration, regression, and UAT testing; oversee defect analysis and resolution.

• Work collaboratively with ABAP developers on enhancements, interfaces, forms, workflows, and conversions.

• Assist with data migration involving materials, vendors, purchasing documents, inventory, and pricing.

• Aid in release planning, production deployments, and post-go-live stabilization.

• Diagnose production issues and provide Tier II/Tier III support.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

• Support ATO, cybersecurity, and audit activities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid DoD Secret clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.

• Over 5 years of SAP MM functional experience.

• Practical experience in implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA.

• Proficient in writing functional specifications for custom developments.

• Experience in supporting testing cycles and resolving defects.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Knowledgeable in procurement and purchasing, inventory management, material master and vendor master, source determination, valuation, and physical inventory.

• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology is preferred.

• Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal ERP programs is preferred.

• Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications is preferred.

• Experience with Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM is preferred.

• Understanding of transportation and logistics business processes is preferred.

• Awareness of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies is preferred.

• Experience integrating MM with SAP Ariba, EWM, TM, FI/CO, and SD is preferred.

• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Materials Management certification is desired.

• Agile Scrum Certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent) is desired.

• Security+ certification is preferred for DoD environments.
