SAP Functional Consultant – Procure to Pay, Materials Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Configure and maintain SAP S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay and Materials Management functionalities.

• Evaluate business needs and convert them into functional designs, system setups, and technical specifications.

• Set up purchasing organizations, purchasing groups, plants, storage locations, valuation areas, and account determinations.

• Oversee the entire procurement process from requisition to payment.

• Manage requisition processing, purchase orders, source identification, vendor management, material master data, inventory management, goods receipt, invoice verification, stock transfers, physical inventory, procurement analytics, and reporting.

• Create functional design documents, business process documentation, configuration guides, and training materials.

• Draft functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

• Collaborate with ABAP developers on custom enhancements and interfaces.

• Conduct unit, system integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Aid in defect resolution and perform root cause analysis.

• Provide Tier II/Tier III production support.

• Assist with data migration for vendor, material, purchasing, pricing, and inventory master data.

• Identify opportunities for procurement efficiency and supply chain optimization.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies.

• Support production deployments, release planning, and system stabilization.

• Facilitate cybersecurity, audit, and Authority to Operate activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of functional SAP experience in Procure-to-Pay and Materials Management.

• Practical experience in implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA.

• Strong knowledge of procurement operations, purchasing, inventory management, material master, vendor master, invoice verification, stock management, and procurement reporting.

• Demonstrated ability to create functional specifications for custom SAP enhancements.

• Experience in supporting testing, production support, and system enhancements.

• Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Up to 10% travel may be required.

• Experience in supporting Department of Defense ERP modernization initiatives is preferred.

• Familiarity with SAP Activate implementation methodology is preferred.

• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) is preferred.

• Experience with PTP/MM integration with SAP FI, CO, FM, SD, TM, EWM, EAM, and GTS is preferred.

• Experience with SAP Fiori applications is preferred.

• Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM is preferred.
