SAP BASIS Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the administration of SAP S/4HANA, ECC, Solution Manager, Fiori, Gateway, Web Dispatcher, SAP BTP, and associated system components.

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain various SAP systems.

• Carry out SAP kernel upgrades, support package deployments, Enhancement Packages, and activities based on Software Update Manager (SUM).

• Implement SAP system copies, client copies, refreshes, and complete landscape cloning.

• Monitor the health, performance, availability, and capacity of systems.

• Diagnose and resolve SAP Basis issues, including performance, transport failures, connectivity, and system errors.

• Manage sequencing and migrations within the SAP Transport Management System across different environments.

• Organize maintenance windows, technical deployments, and outage notifications.

• Assist in the design, testing, and execution of SAP High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.

• Handle SAP user administration and coordinate technical authorization needs.

• Perform housekeeping activities such as background job monitoring, spool management, interface checks, and log reviews.

• Collaborate with Database Administrators on SAP HANA backup, recovery, tuning, and optimization tasks.

• Provide support for middleware, identity management, authentication, and integration with external systems.

• Keep technical documentation, architecture diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and configuration baselines up to date.

• Aid in meeting ATO, RMF, STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, and cybersecurity requirements.

• Participate in root cause analysis and planning corrective actions for production incidents.

• Support SAP RISE and hybrid cloud architecture implementations.

• Offer technical assistance during deployments, releases, and maintenance operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• An active DoD Secret clearance is mandatory.

• A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent field is required.

• Practical experience in administering SAP Basis within enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with supporting SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or comparable SAP platforms.

• Experience with SAP installations, upgrades, patches, and technical migrations.

• Extensive knowledge of the SAP Transport Management System (TMS).

• Proven experience supporting SAP HANA databases.

• Working familiarity with Linux and/or Windows systems hosting SAP applications.

• Capability to identify and resolve SAP performance and availability challenges.

• Comprehension of SAP architecture and technical landscape design.

• Strong skills in analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation.

• SAP Certified Technology Associate – System Administration (SAP S/4HANA) certification is preferred.

• Experience with SAP Solution Manager, including Focused Run, is preferred.

• Experience in administering SAP Fiori is preferred.

• Experience supporting SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is preferred.

• Experience with SAP cloud environments is preferred.
