This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.
• Design and develop a Salesforce automated testing framework from inception.
• Create automation architecture, standards, naming conventions, reusable components, and governance practices.
• Configure and implement Tricentis Tosca, TestRail with integrated automation, or equivalent enterprise testing tools.
• Construct automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
• Build reusable automation components applicable to various Salesforce applications and releases.
• Substitute repetitive manual testing with dependable automation solutions.
• Establish protocols for test data, environments, dependencies, and automation upkeep.
• Develop and execute automated tests across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Flows, Lightning Web Components, Apex, validation rules, approval processes, reports, dashboards, and custom applications.
• Validate Salesforce APIs, integrations, third-party applications, and linked business systems.
• Create automated regression suites and verify functionality across user profiles, permission models, and business workflows.
• Set up the organization’s automated testing environment.
• Configure automation platforms, repositories, test-suite structures, access controls, and reusable test libraries.
• Establish test-data management processes and automation workflows.
• Incorporate automated testing into development and deployment processes.
• Implement reporting and dashboards for test results and quality metrics.
• Document the automation framework and provide training for team members.
• Establish TestRail projects, repositories, test-case structures, and regression suites.
• Integrate automated test execution results with TestRail.
• Develop and maintain Tosca modules, test cases, execution lists, and distributed execution.
• Create automated tests for Salesforce APIs and external integrations.
• Validate REST and SOAP API functionality and data integrity.
• Automate integration scenarios, exception handling, and error processes.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and set up automated quality gates.
• Support the management of Salesforce sandbox and environments.
• Develop test strategies, plans, scenarios, and cases.
• Identify coverage gaps and enhance test coverage and quality.
• Identify, document, and manage software defects.
• Perform root-cause analysis of recurring automation and testing failures.
• Verify defect resolutions through both automated and manual testing.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance application quality and release confidence.
• Establish quality metrics and reporting for informed release decisions.
• Proven commercial experience as an Automation Test Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, or Salesforce Test Engineer.
• Extensive hands-on experience in testing Salesforce applications.
• Demonstrated ability to build an automated testing framework or environment from the ground up.
• Strong comprehension of Salesforce configuration and application architecture.
• Experience in developing automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
• Experience with testing complex Salesforce workflows, configurations, and integrations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca, TestRail, or similar enterprise testing platforms.
• Experience in implementing and configuring testing platforms.
• Experience in creating reusable test automation components, libraries, and test suites.
• Experience testing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Salesforce Flows, Lightning Web Components, and Apex.
• Experience validating validation rules, approval processes, reports, dashboards, profiles, roles, permission sets, custom objects, and Salesforce applications.
• Experience validating Salesforce APIs and third-party integrations.
• Strong understanding of testing across different user profiles, permissions, and business workflows.
• Experience with REST and SOAP API testing and external system integrations.
• Familiarity with Postman, REST clients, or automated API testing frameworks.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and automated testing pipelines.
• Strong grasp of Agile development and QA methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to software quality.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Proactive in identifying test coverage gaps and enhancing QA practices.
