This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement and assist in the development of the yearly sales training strategy and plan.
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new sales representatives through thorough training programs.
• Provide annual advanced training sessions for seasoned sales representatives.
• Work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, and other Veracyte team members on training workshops.
• Organize, design, and deliver classroom, virtual, and quarterly online training sessions.
• Create and revise written and video training materials.
• Conduct classroom sales training and manage onboarding training calls and ride-alongs.
• Ensure that training programs cater to new customers, products, product extensions, and markets.
• Perform gap analyses and modify curriculum based on insights from the commercial team.
• Evaluate training outcomes and develop proficiency and competency assessments.
• Assess sales representative performance and provide feedback to Regional Sales Directors and relevant stakeholders.
• Direct training for new employees in the Business Unit outside of the sales team.
• Engage in annual brand and tactical planning.
• Secure MLR approval for training materials and ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
• Over 7 years of successful experience in commercial sales training or equivalent experience in the medical/biotech/pharmaceutical sector.
• Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, healthcare, education, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of commercial medical sales in physician offices within the IVD or LDT sectors.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies.
• Capability to deliver both classroom and remote training sessions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Proficient in Salesforce.
• Excellent project management abilities and capacity to oversee multiple projects and timelines.
• Willingness to travel 15–25% of the time, based on in-person training requirements.
• Strong skills in coaching, communication, adaptability, time management, and strategic agility.
• Previous experience as a Regional or National Sales Trainer or in sales training is preferred.
• Experience with breast cancer oncology products, diagnostics, or related therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Proven track record in developing, implementing, and facilitating sales training programs for field-based commercial teams is preferred.
• More than 2 years of experience with Veracyte is preferred.
