Instructional Designer – InDesign, Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create captivating instructor-led learning experiences, which include interactive lessons, workshops, activities, and assessments.

• Develop learning objectives and outline lessons through storyboarding.

• Create assessments and activities that reinforce the learning process.

• Utilize the ADDIE model and principles of adult learning.

• Convert technical and raw content into cohesive, practical, learner-focused educational journeys.

• Employ Adobe InDesign to produce high-quality educational materials.

• Design student workbooks, trainer resources, assessments, and activities.

• Work collaboratively with subject matter experts, curriculum developers, and cross-functional teams.

• Evaluate existing content, pinpoint opportunities, provide recommendations, and advance projects with minimal supervision.

• Ensure accuracy, quality, structure, clarity, and meticulous attention to detail throughout the development process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of demonstrated experience in instructional design.

• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.

• Proven capability to articulate clear learning objectives, storyboard lessons, and create engaging assessments and activities.

• Familiarity with the ADDIE model and principles of adult learning theory.

• Strong understanding of the production process for instructional materials.

• Availability to work during daytime business hours and participate in calls.

• Experience in designing courses related to skilled trades or similar fields (preferred).

• Submission of resume, cover letter, and application questionnaire is required.

• A signed Independent Contractor Agreement and background check must be completed before commencing work.

• I-9 verification, E-Verify, background check, and drug and alcohol screening are mandatory.

• The contractor is responsible for federal, state, and local taxes, insurance, business expenses, computer equipment, software, and other tools.
