This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Cultivate relationships with clients by visiting their locations within the designated territory.
• Market products and services while serving as the primary contact after the sale.
• Prioritize customer satisfaction, retention, and overall business expansion.
• Interact with clients through phone, chat, email, video conferencing, and in-person meetings.
• Address client inquiries and provide guidance on suitable products and services.
• Implement sales strategies and produce sales reports.
• Discover opportunities to boost sales volume while adhering to service standards.
• Oversee and develop a territory that includes Northern England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
• Establish connections with decision-makers and laboratory stakeholders.
• Meet revenue and margin objectives.
• Identify new business prospects and enhance existing client relationships.
• Advocate for Avantor's chemical offerings, encompassing reagents and laboratory chemicals.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Product Specialists, Technical Teams, and Supplier Partners.
• Keep customer information, sales activities, and pipeline data organized using CRM tools.
• Create strategic account plans and project territory performance.
• Conduct visits to customers, deliver presentations, and discuss products.
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in a B2B sales setting.
• Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and fostering business growth.
• Experience in managing intricate sales processes involving various stakeholders.
• Strong skills in consultative selling and relationship development.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Capability to work independently while managing a broad geographical area.
• Valid UK driving licence and readiness for extensive travel.
• Preferred background in science or experience in laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotech, research, or industrial settings.
• Familiarity with laboratory chemicals, reagents, and associated solutions is advantageous.
• Experience in distribution, life sciences, or laboratory supplies preferred.
• Previous use of CRM systems and sales planning tools is preferred.
