This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Foster relationships with accounts by visiting customer locations within the designated territory
• Market products and services while serving as the primary point of contact post-sale
• Prioritize customer satisfaction, retention, and business expansion
• Interact with customers via phone and online platforms, including chat, email, and video conferencing
• Address client inquiries and provide guidance on suitable products and services
• Implement sales strategies and produce sales reports
• Discover opportunities to enhance sales volume while maintaining service standards
• Oversee and develop a territory spanning Northern England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland
• Establish trusted relationships with key decision-makers and laboratory stakeholders
• Propel sales growth to meet revenue and margin objectives
• Identify new business opportunities and nurture existing customer relationships
• Advocate for Avantor's range of reagents and laboratory chemicals
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Product Specialists, Technical Teams, and Supplier Partners
• Maintain customer records, sales activities, and pipeline management using CRM tools
• Create strategic account plans and forecast performance in the territory
• Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, and discussions about products
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of experience in a B2B sales setting
• Demonstrated history of meeting sales targets and driving business growth
• Experience handling complex sales cycles that involve multiple stakeholders
• Strong consultative selling abilities and skills in relationship-building
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation capabilities
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a vast geographic territory
• Valid UK driving license and readiness to travel extensively
• Scientific background or experience in laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotech, research, or industrial settings (preferred)
• Familiarity with laboratory chemicals, reagents, and related solutions (preferred)
• Experience in distribution, life sciences, or laboratory supplies environments (preferred)
• Experience with CRM systems and sales planning tools (preferred)
