This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of annual sales objectives for the Apricot branded liquid handling product line within the Central territory.
• Represent the company by sharing its history, culture, strategy, products, and relevant capabilities.
• Utilize the customer database to implement a targeted strategy for the East Coast US, complete with measurable goals.
• Organize tasks based on company and personal priorities.
• Execute the company's product and market priorities effectively.
• Identify and pursue opportunities across product lines in partnership with product specialists.
• Cultivate consultative relationships with customers and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Integrate SPT solutions within end-user workflows and articulate the benefits of these solutions using available communication tools.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of products and services, and promote cross-selling of the product range.
• Keep application knowledge current through training, field tours, and e-learning sessions.
• Manage and oversee CRM data.
• Perform product demonstrations, engage in outbound lead generation, and provide post-sales support.
• Assist territory and key account managers.
• Oversee the sales pipeline from start to finish.
• Address customer issues and play a key role in new product launches for Apricot.
• Travel regularly within the designated central US region.
• Knowledge of automated liquid handling gained through professional or academic experiences.
• A strong drive, tenacity, ambition to meet targets, and resilience.
• A growth mindset characterized by curiosity, confidence, and a desire to learn.
• Self-motivated attitude with accountability for results in the assigned territory.
• Proficient computer skills and extensive familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred working knowledge of a CRM system, such as Salesforce.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong persuasive and presentation skills.
• Capable of presenting products both formally and informally to individuals and large audiences.
• Ability to engage ethically and professionally with the scientific community.
• Preferred knowledge of the laboratory environment and sales cycle.
• Ability to operate within various safety levels in different laboratory settings.
• Skill in independently managing time and workload within a designated regional territory.
• An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a Life Science discipline.
• A background in Genomics or Protein Crystallography is advantageous.
• Education and/or experience in sales is required.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned central US region.
• Mechanical aptitude and capability to understand scientific terminology relevant to laboratory market sales.
