Sales Security Systems Engineer – Access Control, CCTV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Deliver engineering design and support for security solutions tailored to both new and existing clients.

• Design and develop engineering solutions for intricate system installations, upgrades, and enterprise-level conversions.

• Maintain proficiency in electronic security technologies such as ACS, IDS, FDS, and CCTV, along with databases, server hardware, and networking.

• Review Bills of Materials to ensure equipment compatibility and accuracy prior to procurement.

• Develop and manage wiring diagrams, programming sheets, and device schedules.

• Create or work in collaboration with the CAD Department to produce floor plans, riser drawings, and detailed drawings.

• Generate comprehensive As-Built documentation and Operations & Maintenance manuals for client handover.

• Lead and monitor Requests for Information to address technical discrepancies during construction.

• Facilitate technical documentation necessary for local permitting and industry compliance.

• Provide advanced technical support to field teams in troubleshooting installation issues.

• Assist in the adoption and documentation of cutting-edge technologies such as biometrics, radar, and anti-drone systems.

• Stay updated with vendors including Genetec, Lenel, and Milestone, as well as emerging security trends.

• Collaborate with internal teams, external parties, clients, and subcontractors to guarantee project success.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3–7 years of relevant experience in the industry.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; applicable experience may substitute for educational qualifications.

• Experience in designing and planning access control and video systems.

• Professional Electronic Security Certifications or training (Lenel, Genetec, C-Cure, Avigilon, Axis, Bosch, Milestone, etc.) are preferred.

• Capability to manage time and multiple tasks independently.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Good analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent presentation, writing, verbal, and written communication skills for customer interactions.

• Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe is preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Visio, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, or Revit is a plus.
