This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Strategize and oversee territory operations to drive sales and enhance market share.
• Implement approved sales and marketing tactics while ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Expand market presence and reinforce relationships with current distribution partners.
• Discover new business opportunities, leads, and prospects to secure new accounts.
• Assess customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions to achieve or surpass sales targets.
• Prepare and present sales proposals and follow up with key decision-makers.
• Cultivate an understanding of market dynamics and competitive developments.
• Build relationships and increase sales with designated distribution clients.
• Engage with roofing contractors, remodelers, builders, and architects to stimulate demand for IKO products.
• Deliver product and program presentations to qualified distributors and end-users on a weekly basis.
• Conduct training sessions on product knowledge for clients.
• Respond to inquiries from customers or IKO administration.
• Provide weekly reports on territory intelligence.
• Participate in mandatory meetings, events, and company-sponsored training.
• Investigate and address product quality concerns within the territory.
• Comply with IKO policies and procedures, including Health and Safety and Vehicle regulations.
• Report to the Regional Sales Manager, taking responsibility for territory sales and administration.
• Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to work efficiently both independently and within a team setting.
• Proven experience in engaging with end users and applying “pull through” sales techniques.
• Established history of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Previous sales experience in the building products sector is preferred.
• Background in sales involving roofing contractors, builders, and/or architects is preferred.
• Prior formal sales training is preferred.
• Possession of a 2 or 4-year college degree in a Sales or Marketing-related discipline is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% may be necessary.
