This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Cultivate relationships with key decision makers at the district level and drive new business opportunities as well as growth within the small to medium business sector.
• Market and sell Newsela’s comprehensive range of assessment tools, data warehousing solutions, and MTSS products.
• Oversee the sales pipeline and forecast revenue effectively.
• Create and implement lead-generation initiatives.
• Manage sales processes throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Formulate territory business strategies and assess funding environments.
• Customize sales approaches to align with district objectives.
• Take ownership of the designated territory and oversee the complete sales lifecycle.
• Establish new business connections that integrate Schoolytics solutions into classrooms.
• Meet and exceed individual revenue goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the national sales organization.
• Conduct virtual meetings with school and district leaders to present solutions, negotiate terms, and finalize agreements.
• Propel the expansion and usage of Schoolytics products.
• Act as a representative of the company in the market, providing recommendations that influence strategy and outcomes.
• Independently prioritize tasks and exercise judgment in assessing customer needs, structuring solutions, and negotiating within set parameters.
• A minimum of 2 years of full-cycle K-12 EdTech sales experience, demonstrating a history of meeting or surpassing significant sales targets.
• Proficiency in selling core curriculum, assessments, data warehousing, and/or MTSS within the K-12 EdTech sector.
• Extensive background in networking, prospecting, generating pipelines, and business forecasting in the EdTech arena.
• Proven track record as a strategic territory manager with the executive presence to lead consultative discussions with districts, engage multiple stakeholders, and design customer solutions.
• Experience in high-volume district sales and the ability to develop a book of business from the ground up.
• Skills to swiftly close sales and excel in a dynamic environment.
• Capability to meet defined sales objectives in a flexible setting.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%, based on business and customer requirements.
• Flexibility to work varying hours to accommodate customer and business needs; most accounts are situated in Eastern and Central time zones.
• Familiarity with utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check is required.
• This is an exempt salaried position, not eligible for overtime.
