This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee a designated territory and customer portfolio to drive revenue growth.
• Attract new clients and enhance business within current accounts through face-to-face meetings, product demonstrations, and consultative selling techniques.
• Work in partnership with Account Managers, Product Specialists, Customer Care, sales management, and local manufacturer representatives.
• Keep precise records in CRM systems like C4C.
• Track sales activities and implement territory business plans that align with commercial objectives.
• Manage a sales pipeline and create as well as present customer proposals.
• Formulate retention strategies and enhance Avantor’s presence with existing clients.
• Provide detailed product information, assess customer requirements, and suggest Avantor solutions.
• Establish and maintain customer relationships while ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
• Execute company marketing plans, sales strategies, and sales processes effectively.
• Acquire product knowledge, secure preferred pricing, and enhance account profitability.
• Embody Avantor’s mission and adhere to the Avantor Code of Conduct.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in sciences or equivalent, or relevant experience preferred.
• 1-3+ years of experience preferred in a complex, dynamic sales environment.
• Preferred experience in business-to-business sales.
• Experience in distribution, a scientific background, and/or work in a laboratory or research setting preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration with customers, manufacturing representatives, management, team members, and internal specialists.
• Capability to engage in business discussions with business owners and decision-makers.
• Ability to work autonomously and efficiently manage time and territory.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to sell strategically within an account.
• Capacity to comprehend individual customer operations.
• Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office, with a preference for experience in Salesforce or Qlikview.
• Must reside in the Great Vancouver Area.
• A valid Driver's License in good standing is required.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations at least 5 days per week.
• Anticipated travel is 50-75%, including overnight stays.
• Canadian Sales associates must travel to the United States for annual sales conferences and occasional training sessions.
