This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Enhance business development workflows, record types, and automation within Salesforce.
β’ Create and uphold dashboards and reports to monitor pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and performance against targets.
β’ Develop and document standard operating procedures for essential business development processes.
β’ Manage the flow of leads and prospects from Marketing into Salesforce.
β’ Conduct data hygiene audits and address root causes.
β’ Train new business development hires on Salesforce and the overall business development technology stack.
β’ Oversee the project management of RFP responses and proposal development from inception to completion.
β’ Maintain a centralized repository of proposal content, boilerplate language, and case studies.
β’ Manage the proposal calendar, ensuring ownership and adherence to deadlines.
β’ Assist in ensuring pricing and quote accuracy throughout proposals and negotiations.
β’ Coordinate the final review and formatting of proposals.
β’ Oversee the contracting process from verbal agreement to signature.
β’ Monitor contract status and escalate any stalled agreements.
β’ Keep contract templates and standard language up to date with Legal.
β’ Enhance post-sale transitions across Silverchair Platform, ScholarOne Manuscripts, and other products.
β’ Document hand-off procedures and required inputs.
β’ Manage hand-off timing, ownership, and information requirements with Delivery, Solutions Engineering, and Finance.
β’ Ensure Marketing hand-off post-contract for announcements and onboarding communications.
β’ Monitor hand-off status and identify any missing information or delays.
β’ Evaluate marketing-generated leads and qualify long-tail leads.
β’ Refine lead scoring and routing guidelines with Marketing.
β’ Explore and pilot AI applications for proposal drafting, lead research, meeting preparation, and data entry.
β’ Assess sales technology and propose productivity enhancements.
β’ Maintain AI literacy and exercise ethical judgment and human oversight.
β’ Ensure adherence to AI usage policies and data protection regulations.
β’ Generate regular and ad hoc reports on pipeline, forecasts, win/loss ratios, and new-logo performance.
β’ Assist in territory and target planning through data and analysis.
β’ 5β7 years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, deal desk, or business operations, preferably within a B2B SaaS or technology setting.
β’ Proven experience as a Salesforce power user or administrator, including constructing reports and dashboards.
β’ Experience in supporting or managing RFP/proposal processes and/or contract lifecycle management.
β’ Background in scholarly publishing, academic technology, or related information services is advantageous, though not mandatory.
β’ Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Salesforce, encompassing reporting, dashboards, workflows, and process automation.
β’ Salesforce Advanced Administrator certification is preferred.
β’ Strong project management capabilities.
β’ Proficient in using AI tools such as Claude and Salesforce Einstein/Agentforce.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
β’ High attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and the capacity to work independently.
β’ Comfortable with significant overlapping hours with the Eastern Time Zone in the U.S.
β’ Must not require new employment authorization sponsorship.
