This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the SLED sales team to meet or surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
• Establish and track performance metrics for pipeline generation, opportunity advancement, forecasting, and revenue achievement.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and inspire high-performing sales professionals.
• Provide continuous performance feedback, professional development, and career coaching.
• Collaborate with the team to devise territory, account, opportunity, and competitive strategies.
• Support intricate SLED sales cycles that involve stakeholders, procurement processes, partners, and contracting requirements.
• Create programs and campaigns that drive pipeline growth and enhance Everbridge’s market share within state, local government, and education sectors.
• Develop and improve sales processes, tools, and playbooks.
• Utilize Salesforce to oversee sales activities, pipeline health, opportunity advancement, and forecast precision.
• Coordinate efforts with Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Professional Services, Legal, Finance, and other departments.
• Collaborate with Everbridge sales leadership across various sales teams.
• Cultivate relationships with strategic customers, channel partners, resellers, cooperative purchasing organizations, and industry stakeholders.
• Communicate performance insights, risks, market intelligence, and growth opportunities to senior leadership.
• Act as a hands-on front-line leader, assisting in overcoming obstacles, securing strategic opportunities, and achieving objectives.
• Experience in enterprise software sales, ideally within a SaaS environment.
• Background in software sales or leadership, specifically targeting state and local government, K–12 education, or higher education.
• Proven track record of leading sales teams and consistently meeting revenue goals.
• Experience in selling complex enterprise solutions involving multiple buyers, executive stakeholders, procurement teams, and technical decision-makers.
• In-depth knowledge of SLED procurement processes, contracting vehicles, budget cycles, RFPs, and cooperative purchasing arrangements.
• Experience in building, coaching, and retaining high-performing sales teams.
• Established connections within state government, local government, education, channel partners, or public-sector technology networks.
• Proven experience in selling software along with related professional or consulting services.
• Capability to manage and execute all phases of the sales process.
• Demonstrated ability to develop a wide, sustainable pipeline and accurately forecast outcomes.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
• A self-motivated, collaborative, and accountable leadership approach.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to support customers, partners, industry events, and the sales team.
