This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Engage in outside sales focused on electrical and controls engineering as well as project management services.
• Offer solution repair services and new equipment to end users, contractors, OEMs, and engineering firms.
• Spearhead all sales initiatives within the designated territory, fostering organic growth with current clients while also cultivating new customer relationships to achieve an annual sales target of $50M.
• Conduct direct sales and business development efforts to meet or surpass specified sales objectives.
• Formulate a sales strategy for the company's engineering and controls division.
• Lead a team of four business development managers.
• Aid in the preparation of estimates, sales proposals, and presentations.
• Regularly visit assigned accounts to maintain strategic relationships and identify changes and opportunities.
• Keep updated with industry knowledge and enhance technical expertise in line with market demands.
• Assist with marketing initiatives such as roadshows, national conferences, trade shows, sales training, and participation in trade organizations.
• Support customer accounts from the sales phase through to securing purchase orders, terms and conditions, and maintaining customer relations.
• Conduct job walks and act as the primary liaison between sales and production to evaluate opportunities.
• Facilitate lunch-and-learn sessions and lead discussions with customers.
• Collaborate with the Customer Service team to improve the overall customer buying experience.
• Travel domestically 50% of the time.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent experience in industrial service sales within engineering consulting, project management services, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant industry.
• Familiarity with automation and control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI), Industrial Networks, Low and Medium voltage systems, Electrical Construction Work Packages, Commissioning/Start-ups, and Power Systems (including arc flash and coordination).
• High-energy, goal-oriented team player with strong internal and external communication, forecasting, and solution-selling skills.
• Preferred knowledge of the following sectors: agri-food, power generation, oil/gas, mining, petro-chemical.
• Experience in sales and/or production related to Construction, outages, project management, consultative engineering, detailed engineering and design, NERC program management, and testing services is preferred.
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel domestically 50% of the time.
