This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee a team of 4 business development managers.
• Conduct outside sales focused on electrical and controls engineering as well as project management services.
• Market solution repair services and new equipment to end users, contractors, OEMs, and engineering firms.
• Direct sales initiatives within the designated territory, emphasizing organic growth and the development of new customers to achieve a $50M annual sales target.
• Engage in direct sales and business development efforts to meet or surpass sales objectives.
• Formulate a sales strategy for the company’s engineering and controls division.
• Create estimates, sales proposals, and presentations for potential clients.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with assigned accounts, identifying changes and opportunities within those accounts.
• Assist in marketing initiatives, such as road shows, national conferences, tradeshows, sales training, and trade organizations.
• Provide support to customer accounts through sales activities, purchase orders, terms and conditions, and customer relations.
• Conduct job walks and assess opportunities as a primary liaison between sales and production teams.
• Facilitate lunch-and-learn sessions and lead discussions with customers.
• Collaborate with Customer Service to enhance the customer purchasing experience.
• Keep abreast of and improve industry and technical knowledge based on market needs.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial service sales within engineering consulting, project management services, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar industry.
• Familiarity with automation and control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI), industrial networks, low- and medium-voltage systems, electrical construction work packages, commissioning/start-ups, and power systems including arc flash and coordination.
• High-energy, goal-driven team player with outstanding internal and external communication, forecasting, and solution-selling abilities.
• Knowledge of industry sectors such as agri-food, power generation, oil/gas, mining, and petro-chemical is preferred.
• Preferable experience in sales and/or production related to construction, outage, and project management.
• Experience with consultative engineering, detailed engineering and design, NERC program management, and testing services is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.
