This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Oversee and process company-supplied B2B lead lists to create qualified sales opportunities.
• Engage in outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and SMS.
• Cultivate longer sales-cycle opportunities until prospects are ready to buy.
• Assess prospects based on their business needs, buying intent, timing, decision-making authority, and potential opportunity value.
• Establish connections with US-based decision-makers in the hospitality, events, education, religious, and municipal sectors.
• Manage objections and conduct organic, unscripted dialogues.
• Identify qualified opportunities and pass them on to Territory Sales Representatives.
• Keep precise CRM records of prospect interactions and opportunities.
• Follow up consistently and manage multiple opportunities across different sales-cycle phases.
• Research accounts and tailor outreach using sales intelligence and prospecting tools.
• Utilize AI tools for prospect research, personalization, summarization, and productivity enhancements.
• Report on activities, pipeline progress, qualified opportunities, and follow-up needs.
• Work independently and take initiative without requiring constant supervision.
• Potentially assist in progressing opportunities throughout the sales process and contribute to closing deals.
• Generate qualified opportunities accepted by Territory Sales Representatives.
• Uphold the quality of qualifications, pipeline development, lead nurturing, CRM accuracy, follow-up discipline, and consistent outbound efforts.
• At least 3 years of experience in B2B outbound sales, SDR, BDR, lead generation, lead nurturing, or inside sales.
• Demonstrated success in generating qualified opportunities for an outside or field sales team.
• Experience selling in the US market is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with longer B2B sales cycles is preferred.
• Background in SaaS, BPO, commercial services, furniture, hospitality, events, or other B2B settings is advantageous.
• Prior fully remote work experience is strongly preferred.
• Fluent and professional spoken English is essential.
• Clear, neutral, and easily comprehensible English suitable for US-based decision-makers.
• Strong telephone presence with confidence in communicating without relying heavily on scripts.
• Exceptional objection handling, rapport-building, and questioning abilities.
• Capability to communicate professionally with senior business decision-makers.
• A voice sample or recorded call example is required with each candidate submission.
• Ability to manage daily pipeline and priorities autonomously.
• Capacity to work without constant oversight.
• Proactive in activity and progress reporting.
• Ability to identify follow-up needs without prompting.
• Consistent productivity while working remotely.
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• Proficiency in CRM, sales technology, and prospecting tools.
• A dedicated, quiet home office is required.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection is essential.
• Appropriate computer/laptop and professional work environment needed.
• Reliable backup power for outages/load shedding, such as an inverter or UPS, is necessary.
• Mobile internet/data failover capability is required.
• Ability to remain operational during power or connectivity disruptions.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, approximately 15:00–23:00 SAST, shifting to approximately 16:00–00:00 SAST during US winter time, on a long-term basis.
