This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and manage sales compensation plans that align with revenue, growth, retention, and strategic business goals.
• Collaborate with Sales and business leaders to convert sales strategies, organizational structures, roles, and desired behaviors into effective incentive plan designs.
• Evaluate plan effectiveness, payout results, quota performance, attainment distributions, compensation costs, trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Create financial models and scenario analyses for plan designs, quota adjustments, incentive rates, thresholds, accelerators, caps, and other mechanics.
• Provide recommendations for sales role compensation, encompassing eligibility, target incentives, pay mix, and positioning.
• Work alongside Finance, Sales Operations, HR, Payroll, and HRIS on plan administration, incentive calculations, data integrity, and timely payments.
• Oversee the development and upkeep of plan documents, governance standards, eligibility criteria, and operational procedures.
• Conduct audits and reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
• Counsel leaders and stakeholders on complex sales compensation matters and influence decisions using data and compensation practices.
• Monitor market practices and regulatory requirements, recommending competitive, equitable, and compliant program modifications.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional projects related to business initiatives, organizational changes, system enhancements, and process improvements.
• Prepare analyses, presentations, and recommendations for senior leaders and governance forums.
• Collaborate with Compensation team members to ensure program consistency and share knowledge, tools, and best practices.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Economics, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive compensation experience, with extensive exposure to sales compensation or incentive compensation is required.
• Compensation (CCP) and/or Global Remuneration (GRP) certification is preferred, or actively pursuing certification.
• Experience with Workday and/or sales compensation technology is essential.
• Familiarity with PayFactors is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
• Advanced analytical skills to utilize large, complex data sets for model building, trend identification, and recommendation development.
• In-depth knowledge of sales compensation concepts, including plan design, quota setting, pay mix, commissions, accelerators, thresholds, and payout mechanics.
• Strong financial modeling skills and advanced proficiency in Excel, including scenario modeling and compensation cost analysis.
• Ability to evaluate complex business issues, exercise independent judgment, and develop practical solutions aligned with compensation strategy.
• Strong business acumen to translate sales strategies into effective compensation recommendations.
• Capability to communicate complex compensation concepts clearly and persuasively to Sales, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy when handling compensation data, calculations, and confidential information.
• Proficient in building relationships and influencing stakeholders at various organizational levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills required.
• Discretion and sound judgment in managing sensitive compensation and employee information.
• Working knowledge of EEO, FLSA, and other relevant laws and regulations affecting compensation practices.
• Stay updated on sales compensation market practices, incentive trends, and pay-for-performance strategies.
• Ability to distill complex analyses into concise, executive-ready presentations and recommendations.
• Skill in identifying process gaps and implementing practical, scalable improvements.
• Capacity to work independently, prioritize competing requests, and exercise sound judgment within established governance.
• Customer-centric approach with strong planning, problem-solving, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities and swiftly execute time-sensitive and ad hoc analyses.
• Must meet the physical demands of the position, including primarily seated work, extensive computer and telephone use, and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
