This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full ownership of recurring commission cycles in Spiff, overseeing everything from data validation to final payouts.
• Manage and uphold current compensation plans and commission structures, which includes quotas, attainment, rates, accelerators, bonuses, splits, clawbacks, and other plan mechanics.
• Validate the CRM and source data that feed into commissions and reconcile any discrepancies prior to payroll processing.
• Address incorrect calculations and conduct quality assurance checks before finalizing each cycle.
• Oversee manual adjustments, exceptions, and true-ups as needed.
• Generate final outputs and reports for Sales and Finance departments.
• Respond to inquiries from representatives and managers, and resolve disputes promptly and equitably.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and a clear audit trail.
• Identify and enhance unreliable manual processes for improved efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with BizOps, Sales leadership, representatives, and Finance teams.
• Act as the main point of contact for all commission-related inquiries.
• Practical experience in managing a monthly or quarterly sales commissions process from start to finish.
• Strong comprehension of sales compensation mechanisms and how plan rules affect actual payouts.
• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Capability to reconcile data across various systems and independently troubleshoot issues.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a critical business process with minimal supervision.
• Direct, hands-on experience with Spiff is highly preferred.
• Experience in a SaaS or rapidly growing technology company is strongly desired.
• Familiarity with supporting multiple sales roles and compensation plans concurrently is highly preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce is strongly preferred.
• SQL or data analysis skills are a plus.
• Experience in enhancing or implementing commission processes is a bonus.
• Understanding of commission accruals and the finance closing process is advantageous.
• Must be available to start within the next two weeks.
• Required to commit to a minimum 6-month contract.
• Flexible remote working hours with dependable coverage during commission closing periods.
• Contract duration of at least 6 months.
• Open to independent consultants, individuals between jobs, or full-time compensation professionals looking for contract opportunities.
