This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Oversee and grow customer accounts within the U.S. West Territory, encompassing academic, biotech, pharmaceutical, CRO, government, and research institutions.
β’ Discover new business prospects and foster revenue growth.
β’ Establish long-term relationships with researchers, lab leaders, procurement contacts, and other influential decision-makers.
β’ Conduct regular meetings with customers, both virtually and face-to-face, to comprehend research requirements and identify opportunities for abm products and services.
β’ Create territory and account strategies, prioritize high-potential clients, and sustain a robust sales pipeline.
β’ Assess customer needs and collaborate with internal technical and product teams to suggest suitable solutions.
β’ Achieve or surpass assigned revenue goals, sales KPIs, and territory growth targets.
β’ Keep precise and timely records of customer interactions, opportunities, pipeline, forecasts, and activities in the CRM system.
β’ Work together with Technical Support, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, and other internal teams to ensure a strong customer experience.
β’ Represent abm at regional conferences, trade shows, scientific gatherings, and other customer-facing events.
β’ Observe market trends, customer requirements, and competitor actions while providing insights to bolster commercial strategy.
β’ Travel frequently within the designated territory for customer meetings, conferences, and events, with occasional trips to other abm locations as necessary.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.
β’ An advanced degree is advantageous.
β’ A minimum of 2 years experience in business development, account management, or technical sales within the life sciences or biotechnology industry.
β’ Strong knowledge of the U.S. life science research, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical markets.
β’ Experience in selling cell lines, primary cells, cell-based products, research reagents, or similar life science products is highly preferred.
β’ Familiarity with managing customers in the Western U.S. and/or an established customer network in the region is a plus.
β’ Proven capability to cultivate customer relationships, identify sales opportunities, and drive revenue growth.
β’ Excellent interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
β’ Self-driven and organized, with the ability to independently manage a geographic territory and prioritize competing tasks.
β’ Comfortable operating in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
β’ Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
β’ Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the designated territory.
