Sage X3 Functional Consultant, Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Strategize, design, develop, and implement effective information and operations systems for clients.

• Evaluate client business processes and functional requirements.

• Create documentation to communicate and confirm requirements.

• Analyze data and assess application products.

• Propose efficient, cost-effective solutions.

• Document functional requirements, workflows, and system specifications.

• Identify integration points within the system and provide recommendations.

• Deliver projects within established timelines and budget constraints, aiming for early completion.

• Ensure project outcomes meet or surpass client expectations.

• Assist clients during system testing and product acceptance phases.

• Support sales with estimates, proposals, demonstrations, and pre-sales inquiries.

• Manage relationships and oversee product installations for existing clients.

• Address client inquiries, resolve issues, create reports, and conduct upgrades.

• Develop expertise in Sage X3 and act as a point of escalation.

• Conduct gap analyses and suggest customizations, third-party products, process modifications, or industry best practices.

• Complete necessary product training and professional development.

• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and industry-specific insights.

• Share expertise with peers, managers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.

• Recommend process enhancements and actively engage in client interactions.

• Advocate for value billing and efficiency in service delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, quality assurance, or equivalent work experience is required.

• An advanced degree is preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience with Sage X3 ERP implementation or similar ERP solutions.

• Experience in implementing ERP solutions in Distribution Manufacturing settings.

• Familiarity with Bills of Materials, scheduling, shipping, EDI integrations, etc.

• Background in consulting with a proven record of delivering complex software solutions within set timelines and budgets.

• Strong understanding of business needs and expertise.

• Ability to convert business requirements into solution specifications.

• Experience leading requirements definition and design sessions through interviews, surveys, user workshops, and product/prototype demonstrations.

• Proven track record of achieving agreed-upon business objectives and key metrics.

• Capable of documenting business and technical designs effectively.

• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Excellent relationship and social skills, with the ability to build and manage a strategic external industry network.

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time to client locations in the US.

• May require customer clearance for access to customer information, systems, and/or premises.
