Roadside Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Respond to roadside assistance requests.

• Evaluate situations and identify faults using advanced diagnostic tools.

• Conduct vehicle repairs on-site whenever safe and feasible.

• Determine if repair or recovery is the safest choice.

• Arrange for professional recovery and dealership workshop services when necessary.

• Manage each job from start to finish, ensuring clear communication with customers and providing reassurance.

• Operate and maintain a fully equipped service van.

• Handle tools and parts efficiently.

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain accurate records in company systems.

• Meet service, safety, and quality standards while working effectively towards set targets.

• Utilize AI, machine learning, data analytics, and cloud-based tools responsibly, in accordance with data governance, security, and ethical-use standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a vehicle or roadside technician capable of working independently on site.

• Strong skills in diagnostics and fault detection using modern equipment.

• Confident and calm communication with customers.

• Proficient in using IT, mobile applications, and diagnostic software.

• Valid UK driving license and comfort driving a fully equipped van.

• Relevant technical qualifications, such as a manufacturer apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds Parts I & II, NVQ/B-Tech diploma.

• Existing EV credentials are advantageous; otherwise, completion of EV Level 3 IMI Accredited and ATA Level 3 roadside diagnostics training is required.

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts between 7am and 10pm, including some weekends and Bank Holidays.

• Willingness to travel throughout Plymouth or Belfast and surrounding areas.
