Roadside Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Respond to roadside assistance requests

• Evaluate situations and identify vehicle issues utilizing advanced diagnostic tools

• Conduct repairs on-site whenever it is safe and feasible

• Determine if repair or vehicle recovery is necessary and coordinate professional recovery or dealer service as required

• Manage each task from start to finish, clearly communicating with customers and offering reassurance

• Operate and upkeep a fully equipped service van

• Organize tools and spare parts

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain precise system documentation

• Meet service, safety, and quality benchmarks while pursuing attainable goals

• Responsibly utilize AI, machine learning, data analytics, and cloud-based tools in compliance with data governance, security, and ethical-use standards

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a vehicle or roadside technician capable of working independently at the location

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with contemporary equipment

• Confident and composed communication with customers

• Proficient in using IT, mobile applications, and diagnostic software

• Full UK driving license and proficiency in driving a fully equipped van

• Relevant technical qualifications, such as manufacturer apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds Parts I & II, NVQ/B-Tech diploma

• Existing EV qualifications are a plus; otherwise, completion of EV Level 3 IMI Accredited and ATA Level 3 roadside diagnostics training with the employer is required

• Willingness to work rotating shifts between 7am and 10pm, including some weekends and Bank Holidays

• Capability to travel across Plymouth or Belfast and nearby areas
