This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead and assist in conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and risk assessments pertaining to business continuity.
• Review and revise Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Management plans.
• Evaluate resilience, redundancy, backup, and recovery strategies, including those within cloud environments.
• Identify Single Points of Failure (SPOFs) and areas for improvement.
• Organize, monitor, and validate Disaster Recovery (DR) and business continuity exercises, simulations, and tests.
• Oversee action plans and facilitate the ongoing enhancement of controls.
• Engage in policy assessments and global initiatives focused on resilience.
• Prepare analyses, reports, and presentations to aid management decisions and governance discussions.
• Serve as a consultant for business and technology teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in Brazil and global GBRO teams across North America, the United Kingdom, EMEA, and LATAM.
• Evaluate recovery plans, resilient architectures, backup solutions, and critical dependencies.
• Track recovery, failover, tabletop, and continuity testing activities.
• Assist in defining Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
• Monitor remediation plans related to resilience deficiencies.
• Support the implementation of global initiatives and the advancement of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery maturity in Brazil.
• Act as a technical reference and advisor on matters of resilience.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Experience in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, including the planning, execution, and evaluation of recovery exercises.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery processes, infrastructure, data storage, networks, and connectivity.
• Familiarity with resilience and redundancy concepts in cloud environments, preferably with AWS.
• Ability to evaluate architectures and pinpoint Single Points of Failure (SPOFs).
• Experience in conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and defining as well as assessing RTOs and RPOs.
• Understanding of standards and frameworks related to continuity, security, and resilience, such as ISO 22301, ISO 27001, and NIST.
• Awareness of LGPD and GDPR regulations.
• Knowledge of orchestration and automation tools used in recovery processes.
• Understanding of prevention and recovery strategies concerning ransomware and cyberattacks.
• Ability to analyze risks, identify control deficiencies, and monitor remediation strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to convey technical subjects in clear terms for executive audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
• Project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Certification from the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI), or a comparable organization is preferred.
