Risk Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver risk management support across a designated group of pubs in the South East, concentrating on health and safety, fire safety, food safety, and broader operational risks.

• Assist pubs and operational teams by providing clear and sensible risk guidance.

• Aid locations in understanding standards and pinpointing areas for improvement.

• Conduct investigations into serious incidents, accidents, and claims.

• Create comprehensive reports detailing what occurred, the reasons behind it, and the necessary next steps.

• Support locations with poor audit results and assist them in achieving the appropriate standards.

• Identify recurring issues and their root causes within operations.

• Present risk patterns and insights during area or operational meetings.

• Assist with legal, insurance, or regulatory processes as necessary.

• Collaborate with the broader Risk team to enhance consistency throughout the organization.

• Foster relationships while providing support, posing challenges, and advising operational teams.

• Translate legislation, standards, and company expectations into practical advice for busy pubs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in risk, safety, compliance, or a comparable operational support position.

• Experience in the hospitality sector is beneficial; experience in another multi-site, customer-facing setting is also relevant.

• Comfortable visiting sites and managing real-world challenges.

• Capability to investigate incidents and articulate findings in clear reports.

• Understanding of principles related to health and safety, food safety, or fire safety.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without losing focus.

• Confidence to engage in candid conversations and respectfully challenge others.

• Ability to remain composed in urgent or sensitive situations.

• Strong problem-solving mindset.

• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent experience is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Practical, organized, inquisitive, and approachable demeanor.

• Capable of working independently while being an integral part of a larger team.
