Risk Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee quantitative risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulations, across various projects.

• Create and implement Risk Management Plans.

• Facilitate the identification, assessment, treatment, and governance of project risks.

• Act as the primary expert and point of contact for the SAFRAN risk tool.

• Perform both quantitative and qualitative risk analyses across multiple projects.

• Lead the identification of risks and opportunities, conduct deep dives, and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

• Monitor open risk mitigation actions and apply thorough problem-solving techniques.

• Operate independently while effectively communicating at all organizational levels.

• Collaborate with Project Management, PMO, functional teams, and stakeholders to align and achieve risk management priorities.

• Conduct daily risk management routines, operational risk reviews, risk reporting, and performance/trend analysis.

• Assist leaders in addressing bottlenecks through structured problem-solving approaches.

• Benchmark best practices in risk management both internally and externally.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited institution.

• Expertise in industry-standard risk analysis tools, including Monte Carlo simulations, such as SAFRAN or similar tools.

• A minimum of 6–8 years of relevant work experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in risk management or project controls.

• Experience in the nuclear or power industry related to project management, risk management, project controls, construction management, contracts management, or equivalent fields.

• Strong grasp of power project life cycles, project risk management principles, and relevant technical, financial, and contractual terms.

• Capability to manage multiple complex issues/projects simultaneously.

• Willingness to travel 20% of the time.

• Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled information, subject to U.S. Government authorization when applicable.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, where applicable.

• Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Primavera, and risk management systems.

• Preferred: Proven leadership experience in a matrix environment.

• Preferred: Experience in project/construction management or project controls within the power industry.

• Preferred: Technical knowledge of commercial nuclear reactors and their associated systems.

• Preferred: Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Preferred: Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
