This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Conduct research, model, implement, and validate predictive and prescriptive algorithms to analyze various data sources and achieve desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with diverse teams of data scientists, analysts, and visualization specialists to tackle intricate business challenges and facilitate effective risk management.
• Manage large datasets, both structured and unstructured.
• Employ quantitative and analytical methods to drive profitable growth while monitoring and mitigating risks.
• Utilize Big Data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, H2O, CDSW, and Domino Labs to create data analytics solutions.
• Develop machine learning and artificial intelligence models through processes of development, testing, and validation.
• Create compelling data visualizations to convey complex concepts to business leaders and executives.
• Present findings and suggested business solutions to senior Risk Data Scientists.
• Extract insights from data to facilitate prompt, well-informed decision-making.
• Engage in continuous learning and contribute value in a fast-paced environment.
• Oversee all stages of the model lifecycle and ensure that model documentation meets validation standards.
• A Bachelor's degree with four (4) years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with two (2) years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with two (2) years of relevant experience in a quantitative, analytical, or STEM field.
• At least one (1) year of practical experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Spark, or Kafka.
• Two (2) years of experience working with statistical and predictive modeling concepts and methodologies, including machine learning, clustering and classification techniques, and artificial intelligence.
• Two (2) years of programming experience in analyzing large, complex, and multi-dimensional datasets using tools such as SAS, Python, Ruby, R, Matlab, Scala, or Java.
• A background in banking and/or other financial services is preferred.
• Experience in Agile Software Development is preferred.
• May require familiarity with libraries like TensorFlow, Pytorch, or Keras.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics and/or Adobe Digital is advantageous.
• Advanced skills in Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Comfortable working with relational databases and Hadoop-based data mining frameworks.
• Profound understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts, machine learning techniques, clustering and classification methods, as well as recommendation and optimization algorithms.
• Expertise in analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets.
• Proficiency in visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and IT leaders.
• Exceptional written, oral, and data-visualization communication skills.
