Risk Claims Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Personally investigate and oversee the management of the company's claims.

• Collaborate with insurance providers to establish claim reserves.

• Identify claims that need to be escalated to the insurance company during the intake process and gather necessary information for resolution.

• Manage claims related to property damage, auto damage, and workers' compensation.

• Address serious losses, retain and direct defense counsel, and attend mediations and depositions as required.

• Provide customer service support to insured individuals and claimants via phone.

• Compile statistical reports on claims activity and submit reports or findings as requested.

• Lead claim file reviews as needed.

• Ensure that appropriate actions are taken to minimize claim losses and adhere to government regulations.

• Propose strategies to reduce or eliminate losses resulting from accidents and injuries.

• Communicate and conduct oneself in a professional and collaborative manner with all employees.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of seven (7) years of extensive claims experience in a senior-level, individual-contributor claims position.

• In-depth knowledge of liability claims administration, including strategies for litigation avoidance.

• Comprehensive understanding of complex medical treatments, treatment outcomes, tort issues, venue, and jurisdictional matters.

• Highly developed investigative and analytical abilities.

• Proven success in exercising independent decision-making, problem-solving, and effective negotiation skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel is preferred.
