This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough risk evaluations of cooling towers, domestic water systems, irrigation systems, and ornamental water features.

• Detect hazards such as Legionella bacteria, chemical pollutants, equipment malfunctions, and non-compliance with regulations.

• Assess the likelihood and potential effects of risks on building occupants, operations, and the overall organization.

• Ensure that water treatment programs meet EPA standards, OSHA regulations, local, state, federal laws, and industry best practices.

• Keep updated with changing water quality regulations and industry standards.

• Prepare documentation and reports for regulatory inspections and audits.

• Analyze water quality testing outcomes and treatment program data.

• Spot trends or anomalies that may indicate emerging risks and suggest corrective measures.

• Formulate and implement strategies for risk mitigation and control measures.

• Develop water safety plans and emergency response protocols.

• Recommend upgrades to equipment, modifications to treatment processes, or changes in operations.

• Create risk assessment reports for clients and stakeholders.

• Share findings and recommendations with facility management teams.

• Offer training and support on water safety management practices.

• Collaborate with water treatment technicians, facility engineers, environmental health and safety teams, client representatives, external labs, consultants, and regulatory bodies.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in water treatment, facility management, environmental health and safety, or a related field.

• Prior experience in conducting risk assessments or audits is preferred.

• Knowledge of water chemistry.

• Familiarity with microbiology, especially Legionella control.

• Understanding of water treatment technologies.

• Knowledge of HVAC systems.

• Acquaintance with risk assessment methodologies and regulatory frameworks.

• Relevant certifications such as Certified Water Technologist (CWT), Certified Legionella Professional (CLP), or similar credentials are highly desirable.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
