Risk Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of company reviews, payroll oversight, and associated processes.

• Ensure clear communication across various teams, partners, and clients.

• Evaluate data to pinpoint and respond to emerging risk indicators related to companies and payrolls.

• Address fraud incidents, including account takeover, first-party fraud, and impersonation.

• Record fraud-related insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive resolutions.

• Assist in the creation of documentation and feedback loops for processes.

• Provide support for ad hoc analyses and minor process-improvement initiatives alongside senior analysts.

• Develop a deep understanding of the domain and contribute to the enhancement of risk systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in risk and fraud investigation or a related fintech analytics position.

• Detail-oriented approach and capability to manage investigations from inception to completion.

• Strong time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple cases at once.

• Clear and professional communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Experience in a fast-paced, data-driven setting and/or managing a busy queue.

• Comfort in making judgment calls amidst uncertainty and knowing when to escalate or resolve cases independently.

• An AI-adopter mindset, adept at iterating solutions for complex problems and probing deeper into received outputs.

• A curious nature and a willingness to learn new tools and skills.

• SQL knowledge is advantageous, but not mandatory.

• Ability to participate in the annual 3-day company offsite in the spring.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
