Risk Adjustment Nurse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform QDI assessments on designated inpatient cases, pinpointing clinically relevant documentation opportunities in real-time.

• Create and follow up on compliant documentation queries directed at physicians.

• Engage directly with physicians and APPs to discuss documentation and quality risk adjustment prospects.

• Organize and prioritize a daily review queue to achieve turnaround objectives.

• Take part in educational activities for providers focused on clinical documentation, risk adjustment, and quality outcomes.

• Aid in reviewer calibration and quality assurance processes.

• Assist with customer-specific workflows and initiatives as new health system partners are onboarded.

• Deliver clinical documentation and risk adjustment reviews for Tendo's QDI Services clients.

• Collaborate closely with the Director of QDI Services and fellow reviewers to ensure quality calibration.

• Promote provider education initiatives throughout Tendo's customer base.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of CDI/QDI experience.

• At least 6 years of acute-care nursing experience.

• Current RN license in good standing.

• CCDS certification required.

• Proficiency with Epic.

• Strong understanding of HCCs, Elixhauser comorbidities, and quality risk adjustment methodologies.

• Proven experience in communicating and educating physicians and APPs on documentation opportunities.

• Capability to work independently and manage a queue with limited supervision.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
