This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Manage applications from submission to underwriting and closing stages.
• Collect initial loan file documents and conduct a pre-review.
• Verify completeness of borrower-qualification documentation and input into LOS systems.
• Forward files to Underwriting for assessment.
• Examine approval conditions for accuracy and clear them as necessary.
• Maintain daily communication with loan officers, borrowers, underwriters, closers, AMCs, and title companies.
• Review, upload, organize, and categorize documentation within the loan imaging system.
• Evaluate credit, income, tax returns, asset documentation, and payment history.
• Resolve loan conditions to attain final loan approval.
• Conduct a final data review prior to transferring files to the closing department.
• Safeguard confidentiality of client files.
• Execute other mortgage or company-related tasks as assigned by Management.
• At least 3 years of FHA processing experience is preferred.
• Experience in reverse mortgage processing is required.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage lending regulatory compliance, including TILA, RESPA, Reg B, and Reg C.
• Capability to exercise independent judgment and apply problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
• Capacity to work independently with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and professional interaction with both internal and external customers.
• Detail-oriented and highly motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must reside outside of MA, CT, and NH due to state employment law restrictions.
