Reverse Mortgage Processor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Manage applications from the point of submission through underwriting and closing stages.

• Collect initial loan file documentation and perform a preliminary review.

• Ensure that borrower-qualifying documents are complete and accurately entered into loan origination systems.

• Submit files to the Underwriting department.

• Verify approval conditions for accuracy and either clear them or resubmit to Underwriting promptly.

• Maintain daily communication with loan officers, borrowers, underwriters, closers, AMCs, and title companies.

• Review, upload, organize, and label documentation in the loan imaging system.

• Assess credit, income, tax returns, asset documentation, and payment history.

• Clear loan conditions for ultimate loan approval.

• Conduct a final data review before the transfer to the closing department.

• Complete additional mortgage or company-related tasks as assigned by Management.

• Exhibit professional conduct with colleagues, management, and clients.

• Function independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in FHA Processing is preferred.

• Experience in reverse processing is a must.

• Strong knowledge of mortgage lending regulatory compliance, including TILA, RESPA, Reg B, and Reg C.

• Capability to exercise independent judgment and apply problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines effectively.

• Proficient in working independently with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanor in interactions with both internal and external clients.

• Detail-oriented and highly motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
