Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Efficiently and professionally conduct outbound phone calls.

• Inform consumers about their delinquent accounts via telephone to encourage payment.

• Accept payments over the phone for customer accounts.

• Oversee and follow up on assigned collection accounts.

• Accurately and concisely document the information provided and the outcomes of calls.

• Recognize situations that require transferring or escalating calls to senior advisors, supervisors, or management.

• Carry out job duties, calls, and interactions with professionalism, respect, positivity, and in line with compliance policies and government regulations.

• Uphold and embody the company's mission and values.

• Assist with special projects as needed.

• Engage in relevant meetings or events.

• Complete other essential tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

• Negotiate payment arrangements and solutions with patients to settle outstanding accounts.

• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Proficient verbal, written, and telephone communication abilities.

• Strong computer proficiency.

• Capability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Skill in handling disgruntled callers professionally, effectively, and tactfully.

• Strong data entry capabilities.

• Resourcefulness and independence sufficient to effectively utilize resources for problem-solving and task completion.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.

• Previous collection experience is advantageous, but not mandatory.

• ACA certification is beneficial, though not required.

• Must be available to work the 1pm-9pm CST shift.
