Revenue Recovery Specialist, Clinical Denials

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Utilize the Artiva workflow management system to track patient bills and claims and recover revenue from responsible business entities.

• Examine information to pinpoint the root cause of denied or unpaid claims and decide on subsequent actions.

• Seek and gather necessary information to reverse claim denials, including details regarding patients and responsible parties, medical necessity, employer information, and accident details.

• Ensure compliance with timely filing guidelines to maximize reimbursement potential.

• Refer complex, intricate, or challenging accounts to management.

• Identify and address root-cause issues with management.

• Engage in daily professional communication with payers and patients.

• Compose appeals along with supporting documentation.

• Maintain precise account notes and records.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in drafting and submitting appeals with supporting documentation to reverse claim denials.

• High degree of professionalism.

• Compliance with all debt collection laws and regulations.

• Adherence to HIPAA standards.

• Moderate proficiency with computers, including familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Organizational and documentation skills to ensure timely follow-up and accurate record keeping.

• Mathematical skills to perform calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Preferred familiarity with CPT and ICD coding.

• Capacity to multitask and prioritize assignments effectively.

• Proficient in using web-based client and payer portals and notation databases.

• A valid government-issued photo ID is required during the screening and/or interview process.
