📋 Description

• Support the National RCM Strategy team by conducting a precise, comprehensive, and meticulous review of claims submitted to payers and insurance companies for reimbursement.

• Collaborate with the Billing leadership team to guarantee the prompt and accurate processing of patient accounts.

• Execute claim-level duties once national trends have been identified and analyzed for root causes.

• Keep updated information on appropriate and lawful practices for billing payers.

• Submit revised claims to payers for reconsideration.

• Assess postings or resubmit claims to payers as required.

• Confirm patient demographic details concerning insurance status and coordination of benefits (COB).

• Analyze ERAs and comprehend charges, anticipated allowable amounts, and actual allowable amounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical billing position is required.

• At least 2 years of experience in the Behavioral Health/Mental Health field is preferred.

• Prior experience with an electronic medical/health record system, preferably AdvancedMD, is advantageous.

• Familiarity with EAP and Behavioral Health carve-out plans is essential.

• Knowledge of CPT, modifiers, Mental Health provider types, and their impact on reimbursement is necessary.

• Understanding of relevant privacy legislation pertaining to healthcare information, such as HIPAA, is required.

• Exceptional attention to detail is crucial.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Experience interacting with individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other cultural aspects is important.
