Revenue Cycle Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage revenue cycle operations including charge entry, billing, claims management, patient accounts receivable, and insurance accounts receivable.

• Confirm claim details prior to billing.

• Assess surgical coding for accuracy before initiating billing.

• Handle primary, secondary, and tertiary claims, addressing any edits or rejections.

• Record patient payments.

• Document insurance and third-party payments.

• Resolve credits related to insurance and self-pay accounts.

• Manage bad debt processing.

• Respond to phone inquiries.

• Fulfill assigned responsibilities and support colleagues as instructed.

• Adhere to policies introduced during onboarding, updated in real-time, and outlined in the Teammate Handbook.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be residents of Washington, Florida, North Carolina, Arizona, Idaho, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, or Rhode Island.

• High School diploma or GED is required.

• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in medical billing.

• CPC or an equivalent certification is necessary.

• Experience in Orthopedic Coding is a valuable asset.

• Familiarity with Nextgen and Amkai Billing Systems is preferred.

• Proficiency in navigating online Payor portals and websites.

• Competence in utilizing office equipment effectively.

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Word and Outlook.

• Knowledge of and compliance with safety, risk management, precautionary procedures, and HIPAA confidentiality.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Capability to work independently, follow guidelines and detailed instructions, manage multiple factors, and meet accuracy standards.
