Revenue Cycle Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Confirm all billing details within the billing software system and upload necessary documentation into the document management database.

• Detect and address any missing or ambiguous billing information by reaching out to relevant internal or external contacts.

• Record all billing activities in the designated billing and document archiving systems.

• Examine invoices to establish proper billing methods and ensure complete and accurate claims submissions.

• Follow up on outstanding and denied claims through phone calls and billing software, determining subsequent actions in accordance with departmental protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• A billing certificate or a minimum of 6 months of experience in medical billing is essential.

• Required knowledge of billing databases.

• Capability to operate effectively in a rapidly changing environment while demonstrating sound judgment.

• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage and prioritize workloads efficiently.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proven ability to collaborate across various departments.

• Ability to work autonomously and see tasks through to completion.

• Competent in managing stress and demonstrating flexibility, professionalism, and diplomacy.

• Exceptional focus on detail, accuracy, and compliance with policies and procedures.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and calculator/computer skills.
