This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Reconcile and record all payments received.
• Detect discrepancies and analyze issues to guarantee timely posting of payments.
• Oversee inventory and ensure system alignment between Cotiviti and clients.
• Reconcile data across various sources.
• Post payments to collection accounts and match them with recorded bank transactions.
• Collaborate with the AP department to process refunds when necessary.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements with the cash posting database.
• Post adjustment transactions to both collection and client systems.
• Execute cash application functions in accordance with corporate and client guidelines.
• Access and interpret online systems to ascertain claim payments and accurately apply payments and adjustments.
• Assist in the determination of refund adjudications.
• Prepare and document financial transactions for assigned accounts.
• Ensure daily deposit reconciliation and uphold daily and monthly audit reporting.
• Review and rectify discrepancies in daily deposit totals.
• Balance and reconcile bank deposits while communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Research and accurately allocate payments that lack invoice numbers or dates of service.
• Identify the appropriate claim for payments using patient and date-of-service information.
• Maintain awareness of compliance and recovery laws related to processing and recoupment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, or a minimum of three (3) years of experience in Accounting/Finance.
• Strong preference for knowledge of healthcare claims.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and system databases.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Working knowledge of relevant industry standards.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.
• Must provide a dedicated, secure workspace.
• Must have high-speed internet access/connectivity and be able to set up and maintain an office.
• Must be capable of remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
