Revenue Cycle Payment Posting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Accurately and promptly post EFT transactions and adjustments.

• Balance daily manual batches and assist with the daily reconciliation process.

• Aid in the daily posting and reconciliation of deposits.

• Identify discrepancies between PLB and overpayments.

• Manage credit balances and process refunds as necessary.

• Provide support to the team for posting-related issues.

• Process credit card payments received in correspondence files.

• Distribute correspondence to the relevant department.

• Maintain a 95% accuracy rate in job responsibilities.

• Collaborate with colleagues in the Revenue Cycle to meet both quality and quantity goals.

• Analyze situations and devise strategic solutions.

• Work from a general concept to a completed product with minimal oversight.

• Monitor and address potential risk management and quality concerns.

• Ensure optimization of Electronic Health Records within the organization.

• Participate in initiatives aimed at achieving organizational quality metrics.

• Communicate critical issues with the Manager and colleagues.

• Perform other assigned duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare accounts receivable.

• Proficiency in managing un-adjudicated claims, appeals, and pre-collections.

• Familiarity with insurance billing and compliance within the revenue cycle.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and regulations related to the Revenue Cycle.

• Understanding of managed care contracts, insurance, and compliance with credentialing.

• Ability to interpret EOBs and navigate insurance portals.

• Proven capability to develop and train staff on processes and procedures.

• Strong computer skills, particularly in EPIC and Microsoft Office applications.

• Computer proficiency with Internet Explorer, Excel, Word, Outlook, EPIC, or other EHR software.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.

• Capacity to evaluate and translate organizational/customer needs into training objectives and create effective training solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to lift up to 20 pounds.

• Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States or provide applicable work authorization.
