Revenue Cycle Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership and oversight throughout the entire lifecycle of Epic Revenue Cycle applications, encompassing implementation, design, build, testing, go-live, upgrades, optimization, and stabilization.

• Lead and mentor a team of Epic Revenue Cycle application analysts, clinical analysts, contractors, and other project resources.

• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Finance, Patient Access, HIM, and operational leaders to ensure Epic workflows align with organizational and financial goals.

• Drive improvements in workflow and systems to enhance billing accuracy, revenue integrity, cash flow optimization, and operational efficiency.

• Oversee the configuration of Epic applications, ensuring build integrity, system performance, testing, validation, and documentation are maintained.

• Engage in Epic governance and advocate for standardization across applications, departments, and entities.

• Identify risks associated with applications, operations, and finances, and devise effective mitigation strategies.

• Support integrations with third-party systems, clearinghouses, financial platforms, and other enterprise applications.

• Manage projects related to Epic, including scope, schedules, resources, vendors, and budgets.

• Ensure that applications and workflows are compliant with HIPAA, CMS, security, regulatory, audit, and accreditation standards.

• Lead change management initiatives concerning Epic upgrades, releases, enhancements, and new functionalities.

• Manage vendor relationships, service-level expectations, technology investments, and resource allocation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Health, Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in supporting enterprise Revenue Cycle applications.

• At least 3 years in a related management role.

• Extensive experience supporting Epic Revenue Cycle applications within a large hospital system or integrated healthcare delivery network.

• Practical knowledge of Epic Revenue Cycle modules, including Cadence, Prelude, Resolute Professional Billing (PB), Resolute Hospital Billing (HB), Claims, Charge Capture, and Single Billing Office (SBO).

• Strong understanding of healthcare billing, coding, registration, scheduling, reimbursement, and Revenue Cycle operations.

• Experience in leading technical teams and collaborating with operational and executive stakeholders.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.

• Epic training or certification in one or more relevant Revenue Cycle modules.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• More than 7 years of Epic Revenue Cycle application experience, with 5+ years in a leadership or management role is preferred.

• Active Epic certification or accreditation in one or more Revenue Cycle modules is preferred.

• Familiarity with Epic technical environments and architecture is preferred.

• Experience advising senior leadership on application functionality, efficiency, performance, and Revenue Cycle optimization is preferred.

• PMP and/or ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
