Revenue Cycle Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide direction and oversight throughout the entire lifecycle of Epic Revenue Cycle applications, encompassing implementation, design, build, testing, go-live, upgrades, optimization, and stabilization.

• Mentor and lead Epic Revenue Cycle application analysts, clinical analysts, contractors, and other project resources.

• Collaborate with leaders in Revenue Cycle, Finance, Patient Access, HIM, and operations to ensure Epic workflows align with both organizational and financial goals.

• Drive enhancements in workflows and systems to support billing accuracy, revenue integrity, cash flow optimization, and operational efficiency.

• Supervise the configuration of Epic applications, ensuring build integrity, system performance, testing, validation, and documentation are maintained.

• Engage in Epic governance and advocate for standardization across applications, departments, and entities.

• Recognize application, operational, and financial risks and formulate strategies for mitigation.

• Facilitate integrations with third-party systems, clearinghouses, financial platforms, and enterprise applications.

• Manage Epic-related projects by overseeing scope, schedules, resources, vendors, and budgets.

• Confirm that applications and workflows adhere to HIPAA, CMS, security, regulatory, audit, and accreditation standards.

• Spearhead change management initiatives associated with Epic upgrades, releases, enhancements, and new functionalities.

• Oversee vendor relationships, service-level expectations, technology investments, and resource allocation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Health, Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in the support of enterprise Revenue Cycle applications.

• 3+ years in a relevant management position.

• Extensive experience with Epic Revenue Cycle applications within a large hospital system or integrated healthcare delivery network.

• Hands-on expertise in Epic Revenue Cycle modules, including Cadence, Prelude, Resolute Professional Billing (PB), Resolute Hospital Billing (HB), Claims, Charge Capture, and Single Billing Office (SBO).

• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare billing, coding, registration, scheduling, reimbursement, and Revenue Cycle operations.

• Proven experience leading technical teams and collaborating with operational and executive stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, communication, decision-making, and organizational capabilities.

• Epic training or certification in one or more relevant Revenue Cycle modules.

• Preferred: Master’s degree.

• Preferred: 7+ years of experience with Epic Revenue Cycle applications, including 5+ years in a leadership or management role.

• Preferred: Active Epic certification or accreditation in one or more Revenue Cycle modules.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Epic technical environments and architecture.

• Preferred: Experience providing counsel to senior leadership regarding application functionality, efficiency, performance, and Revenue Cycle optimization.

• Preferred: PMP and/or ITIL Foundation certification.
